For some crazy reason, I decided that the best way to deal with the oncoming snowpocalypse this weekend is to go escape to Vermont and ski! I will be off to Sugarbush shortly and get a half day skiing in today, full day Saturday, and like 3/4 of the day Sunday. They have 100% of the mountain open at Sugarbush so it's gonna be great! This season pass was a great Idea.

I hate you, we have no snow (in fact it's gone back to warm and wet here in the UK) and I’m working all weekend!! :(

Have fun, Sugarbush is great! I used to ski a lot. Now I have kids. How much is a lift ticket at bush?

Scotland has ski resorts, plus there are indoor snow ski slopes and outdoor dry ones.

Weekday tickets bought in advance can be like $60 for a single day. Weekends range like 75-80. Ticket booth is like $90. You can get a 3 day pass including the weekend for like $160 I think. Not as good as my $350 unrestricted season pass though!

You can get a flight to Geneva for like $50 from London (I recently was pricing this out). I imagine that's pretty close to the alps!
